About the position
The 12 Volt Technician at TNS Autosports is responsible for installing and repairing car audio and related electronic systems. This role involves working with various audio components, ensuring high-quality installations, and providing excellent customer service. The technician will also train new employees and maintain a clean work environment.
Responsibilities
- Install car audio systems, including speakers, amplifiers, subwoofers, radios, and Bluetooth systems.
- Run new speaker and electrical cables, splice wires, and solder connections.
- Build fiberglass or wooden enclosures for sound components.
- Troubleshoot problems with audio systems.
- Provide high-quality customer service and explain systems to customers.
- Train new employees on installation techniques and company standards.
- Install alarms, keyless entry systems, remote starts, dash cameras, and other 12-volt systems.
- Install window tint and maintain a clean work area.
Requirements
- ASE Certification in Automotive Electrical Systems
- ASE A8 Engine Performance Certification
- Valid Driver's License
- Basic computer skills
- 2 years of mechanical knowledge
