About the position

The Sales Associate at LOFT is responsible for driving revenue through exceptional client service and relationship building. This role involves meeting individual and store goals while maintaining a clean and safe store environment. The Sales Associate will engage with clients, provide styling advice, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Embrace company values and set an example through behavior.
  • Ensure compliance with all ANN INC. practices and procedures.
  • Meet or exceed divisional, store, and individual financial and credit goals.
  • Provide excellent client service by anticipating needs and exceeding expectations.
  • Build relationships with clients to create loyalty and address concerns effectively.
  • Communicate effectively with management and team members.
  • Complete opening/closing procedures and tasks with a client focus.
  • Maintain an organized and accessible work area and adhere to loss prevention practices.
  • Participate in inventory preparation and report any hazards to management.
  • Demonstrate technical expertise in using company systems and perform register transactions efficiently.
  • Articulate the company's brand positioning and participate in store meetings.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum one year of sales associate or relevant experience in the services industry with proven results.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of visual merchandising standards and techniques.
  • Effective communication skills with clients and team members.
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and provide change without error.
  • Flexibility in scheduling to meet business needs.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in retail or fashion industry is a plus.
  • Familiarity with current market trends and fashion.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems for sales and inventory management.
