About the position
Core Medical Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Rosedale, MD. This is a 13-week travel contract position that offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while providing essential care to patients in hospice settings. As a Hospice RN, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients with terminal illnesses, ensuring their comfort and dignity during their final stages of life. Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate nursing care to hospice patients in accordance with their care plans.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and document patient progress and changes in condition.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding end-of-life care.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to care planning discussions.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards in the delivery of care.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland or compact state.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in hospice or palliative care.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Certification in hospice and palliative nursing (CHPN) is a plus.
- Bilingual skills may be beneficial for patient communication.
