About the position

The Network Engineer position involves designing, implementing, and managing network systems to ensure they meet current and future requirements. The role requires strategic planning, operational management, and collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance network performance and security. The engineer will also be responsible for overseeing network installations, configurations, and upgrades, while ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans for network capacity.
• Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures for network resource administration.
• Conduct research on emerging technologies and recommend cost-effective solutions.
• Create and maintain documentation related to network configuration and processes.
• Plan, acquire, and coordinate installation of network devices and appliances.
• Design and oversee LANs, WANs, VMs, and wireless networks.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Manage servers and ensure network connectivity of all devices.
• Participate in managing network security solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in information technology or computer science.
• 10 years of experience managing strategic network architectural design.
• 10 years of experience designing enterprise-wide LANs, WANs, WLANs, VPNs, and VMs.
• Cisco Certification(s) in specialized areas is required.
• Excellent knowledge of current protocols and standards.
• Experience with Routers, Switches, Firewalls, and Security Software.
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
• Expertise in WAN, LAN, and Wi-Fi technology.

• Experience with Lean IT concepts.
• Knowledge of ITIL practices.
• Knowledge of data privacy practices and laws.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
