About the position

Anistar Technologies is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to assist with service tickets, termination, and testing of various types of voice and data cables, as well as security equipment. This role is crucial in providing low voltage expertise in commercial environments, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance with service tickets related to voice and data cables and security equipment.
  • Pull and route CAT5 or CAT6 cable in new construction and existing commercial environments.
  • Terminate data jacks as required.
  • Conduct site surveys of cabling, power, and equipment.
  • Install support structures such as ladders, racks, and j-hooks.
  • Pull, route, install, and terminate structured cabling infrastructure in commercial settings.
  • Run daily reports on service activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years' experience installing and servicing voice and data or security systems in a commercial environment.
  • Ownership of basic telecom tools including punch down, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, hard hat, boots, and safety glasses.
  • Familiarity with BICSI, EIA, TIA, or NEC standards.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Computer skills for reporting.
