About the position

Qualitest is seeking a QA Test Analyst I to join our rapidly expanding teams in Burlingame or Santa Clara, CA. This is an onsite position where you will be part of a world-class organization that specializes in AI-powered Quality Engineering. As a QA Test Analyst I, you will be involved in manual functional testing, primarily focusing on the functionality of our client's current and future products, which are at the forefront of the Augmented Reality space. Your role will include testing on various platforms, including PC, mobile, and standalone devices, with a preference for Android-based and web applications. In this position, you will be responsible for running test cases for regression, editing existing test cases for accuracy, and reviewing bug reports from other team members. You will also recreate bugs to validate them, execute test cases, and investigate and report software and hardware bugs. Additionally, you will be involved in verifying bug fixes, ensuring that the quality of the products meets the high standards expected by our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual testing, particularly in the medical devices sector, and possess excellent communication skills to convey findings clearly and succinctly. You will be part of a team that applies a range of software, computer vision, and robotics techniques to build systems and tools that enable accurate quality evaluation and regression testing of tracking systems and algorithms. Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in a QA or related role
  • Testing expertise with mobile, PC, and Web applications and devices
  • Competency with command line tools
  • Experience with commonly used bug-tracking software such as Jira, Bugzilla, Mantis, etc.
  • Strong deductive reasoning
  • Clear, accurate, and succinct communication
  • Understanding of the software development process
