About the position

The Senior Credit Analyst position focuses on evaluating and managing credit for projects in the clean energy sector. This role involves conducting financial analyses, structuring deals, monitoring credit quality, ensuring compliance with investment guidelines, and collaborating with various teams. The position also includes leadership responsibilities, mentoring junior team members, and contributing to business development efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Assess potential assets in the clean energy space, conducting comprehensive financial analysis and making investment recommendations.
  • Provide bespoke credit solutions, contribute to deal structuring activities, and engage in business development to build and maintain long-term relationships with key developers.
  • Monitor the health of assigned assets and portfolios, performing cross-sectional analysis, cashflow assessments, and market value reviews to ensure ongoing credit quality.
  • Ensure adherence to investment guidelines and regulations, preparing reports and ensuring timely documentation and financial reviews.
  • Work closely with Operations Analysts, senior management, and other teams to support ongoing deal activities, refinancings, amendments, and regulatory reviews.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members, helping them develop their skills and enhance team performance.

Requirements

  • MBA or equivalent degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in credit analysis, particularly within the renewable energy market, with a solid understanding of tax equity structures.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Access) and advanced financial modeling skills, including sensitivity analysis.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Deep knowledge of the US renewable energy market and the banking industry, including products, services, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven ability to manage a team, provide mentorship, and foster professional development.
