About the position

As a Customer Experience Associate at the Express, you will play a vital role in enhancing the shopping experience for our customers. Your primary responsibility will be to assist customers in locating the products they need while ensuring that the Express is well-stocked with items that meet customer demand. You will leverage your knowledge of current trends and product offerings to provide helpful suggestions, ensuring that customers continue to choose the Exchange for their shopping needs. Your focus will be on prioritizing customer needs over tasks, which will contribute to growing sales through effective merchandise management, signage, and labeling on the sales floor. In this position, you will be expected to greet every customer warmly, making eye contact and offering a genuine smile. Acknowledging waiting customers promptly is crucial, as it reassures them that assistance is on the way. Listening attentively to customer needs and asking relevant follow-up questions will enable you to recommend appropriate products that cater to their specific requirements. Your goal is to ensure that every customer has an extraordinary shopping experience, which includes completing transactions accurately and efficiently while engaging in meaningful conversations with them. Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in finding products and ensuring the Express is stocked with desired items.

Requirements

  • Completion of high school or equivalent education.
  • Retail experience with a demonstrated willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to adapt to current technology needs.
  • Strong communication skills and a helpful attitude towards customers and team members.
  • Basic computer skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in a convenience store or gas station setting.
  • Willingness to cross-train and work in other areas of the store as needed.
