About the position
The Nuclear Technician - Controls position at PSEG involves performing maintenance, construction, and testing tasks in the electrical and instrument and controls area to ensure the operational integrity of the plant and its systems. Responsibilities
- Preplan and execute maintenance tasks in the electrical and instrument and controls area.
- Perform construction and testing tasks to maintain plant operations.
- Conduct common mechanical work consistent with training to support plant operations.
Requirements
- Must successfully complete the Nuclear Technician - Controls (2508) Modular Training Course.
- Qualify on at least five instrument and controls systems.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and carry out complex assignments.
- Aptitude for mechanical and technical work.
- Strong observation skills.
- Oral and written communication skills necessary for performance of the work.
- Must have completed the appropriate Pre-Employment Tests or meet the exemption criteria.
