About the position
The Senior Service Associate in Distribution Operations at UPS is responsible for managing the delivery and deployment of contracted services to customers, ensuring that service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) are met. This role involves overseeing daily facility activities, collaborating with vendors and customers, and performing various financial activities to support business operations. The position requires a hands-on approach to core UPS business operations, with a focus on efficiency, effectiveness, and customer relationship management.
Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery or deployment of contracted services to customers.
- Ensure SLAs and KPIs are met or exceeded as defined in contracts.
- Support business products by collaborating with vendors, customers, and internal support groups.
- Oversee daily facility activities related to government compliance, inbound receipts, kitting, and processing orders.
- Manage inventory, staffing, facility inspections, employee engagement, development, safety, security, and profitability.
- Perform financial activities including forecasting, allocations, adjustments, and creating annual business plans.
- Retain and strengthen customer relationships, including face-to-face customer service.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for improving operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide support to field stocking locations and agent locations across multiple geographies.
- Operate powered industrial equipment as needed.
