About the position
ARSIEM Corporation is seeking a Java Cloud Developer to support one of our government clients located in Fort Meade, MD. This position is integral to our mission of providing reliable and cutting-edge technical solutions to various agencies across the United States Government. As a Java Cloud Developer, you will leverage leading-edge technologies to develop analytics that pull data from multiple cyber sources, as well as classic SIGINT. Your role will involve developing prototypes that address new questions and enhance existing answers, utilizing data science methods to represent data innovatively and automate analytic processes through machine learning frameworks. In this collaborative and integrated environment, you will work directly with the customer, designing, developing, testing, deploying, and documenting big data cloud computing workflows. You will also be responsible for developing answers to questions using Java MapReduce and making these available through corporate tool suites. The position requires research and development across multiple platforms, and you will be part of a cohesive, small team that emphasizes collaboration and innovation. Responsibilities
- Use leading-edge technologies to develop analytics, pulling data from multiple cyber sources as well as classic SIGINT.
- Develop prototypes answering new questions as well as providing better answers to existing questions.
- Develop new ways to represent the data using data science methods and automating analytic processes using machine language frameworks.
- Work directly with the customer in a highly collaborative, integrated environment.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and document big data cloud computing workflows.
- Develop answers to questions via Java MapReduce, making them available via the corporate tool suites.
- Research and work with multiple platforms for developments.
- Work in a cohesive, small team environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience or Master's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience.
- Associate's degree plus 7 years of relevant experience or high school diploma/GED plus 9 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position.
- Computer Science (CS) degree or related field.
- TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- Strong Java skills, developing software in Red Hat Linux (versions 3 - 5+).
- Experience with Java Pig, MapReduce.
- Experience with technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, etc.
- Experience with distributed scalable Big Data Stores (No SQL) such as H Base, CloudBase/Accumulo, Big Tables, etc.
- Experience with Hadoop Distributed File Systems (HDFS).
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of IP Protocols and Network topologies.
- Experience with GHOSTMACHINE analytic development.
- Experience with Jira, Maven, and Git.
