About the position

The Director of Marketing at Commerce Casino is responsible for leading the marketing operations and strategies of the casino, which is the world's largest card casino. This role involves managing database marketing, special events, and promotions, while ensuring the integrity of daily operations within the marketing department. The Director will work closely with various departments to achieve marketing objectives and enhance brand awareness, ultimately driving profitability and customer retention.

Responsibilities

  • Direct overall marketing operations and ensure the integrity of daily operations within the marketing department.
  • Interface with casino administrative and operational departments to foster cooperation toward achieving marketing objectives.
  • Utilize marketing resources to coordinate and implement strategic alliances with reputable business partners.
  • Develop, implement, and manage new programs and operational goals for promotional activities.
  • Understand the competitive marketplace regarding marketing strategies, programs, campaigns, and promotions.
  • Prepare, monitor, and adhere to the annual marketing plan and budget.
  • Develop and direct execution of strategies to achieve maximized revenue, acquisition, retention, and profitability goals.
  • Become a local and regional market expert regarding business marketing issues and make recommendations on driving strategies.
  • Ensure all advertising and marketing communications support marketing plan objectives and are effective expenditures of resources.
  • Oversee contracts with various vendors including suppliers and advertising services.
  • Contribute to the value proposition of the loyalty program to ensure competitiveness and cost-efficiency.
  • Support and promote outstanding internal and external guest service in accordance with company standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Ten (10) plus years of progressive experience in the gaming industry.
  • Strong business experience in reviewing and developing marketing plans and materials.
  • Strong track record of understanding market dynamics and responding proactively to achieve company objectives.
  • Experience analyzing and making recommendations on promotions.
  • Ability to create effective cross-company working relationships and execute business plans requiring multi-division participation.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and experience with ad campaigns, including media experience in graphic designs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to write and prepare standard reports and documents.
  • Knowledge of the gaming industry.
