About the position

All Points is seeking candidates to support the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on the new campus in Huntsville, AL. This position involves supporting IT networks, systems, and initiatives with activities that include information systems operations, information systems development and modernization, and IT security. The team you will join is responsible for the development, implementation, and subsequent operations and maintenance of new applications each fiscal year. The operation of existing applications and new application initiatives is critical to the success of the FBI mission. Thousands of personnel in the law enforcement, intelligence, legal, and administrative communities use these services daily to perform mission-critical work. These applications require responsive, effective, and specialized technical expertise to limit disruption to FBI operations. In this role, you will be responsible for SQL and PL/SQL development, which includes developing backend reports to support user needs, creating custom scripts to automate various database management processes, monitoring and troubleshooting database performance, and optimizing stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and queries in support of application development. You will also interface with customers, users, and developers as needed, maintain the database schema and design, and provide technical subject matter expertise (SME) on ingesting data into the database from various sources, including file systems. Additionally, you will be involved in SAFe 6.0 Facilitation Support, which includes guidance and facilitation of SAFe Principles, planning and managing work, and promoting alignment, collaboration, and delivery across multiple agile teams. This role is essential for enabling operational insight through increased data discoverability and operational analysis and triage of data through visualization and analytics within Global Mission Analytics (GMA).

Responsibilities

  • Support IT networks, systems, and initiatives for the FBI.
  • Develop SQL and PL/SQL backend reports to support user needs.
  • Create custom scripts to automate database management processes.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot database performance.
  • Optimize and tune stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and queries.
  • Interface with customers, users, and developers as needed.
  • Maintain the database schema and design.
  • Provide technical subject matter expertise on data ingestion into the database.
  • Facilitate SAFe Principles and support Agile teams.
  • Plan and manage work to promote alignment and collaboration across agile teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline.
  • 1 - 10 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Active US DOD Top Secret Clearance or higher required.
  • Experience with Atlassian Software products (JIRA, Confluence, Service Desk, etc.).
  • Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL development.
  • Experience with .NET, PostgreSQL, and Oracle DB.
  • Familiarity with AWS CloudFormation and geospatial applications such as ESRI ArcGIS and GeoServer.
  • Experience with MongoDB and ElasticSearch for geospatial data.
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies such as Vue.js, AngularJS, and D3.js.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience as a scrum participant and familiarity with software release processes.
  • Ability to work after hours when mission requires.
  • Experience with geospatial data sources like OpenStreetMap and Geonames.
