About the position

All Points Logistics LLC is seeking a System Engineer to support the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on their new campus in Huntsville, AL. This role involves supporting IT networks, systems, and initiatives, focusing on information systems operations, development, modernization, and IT security. The engineer will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of applications critical to the FBI's mission, ensuring effective technical expertise to minimize disruptions in operations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coordinate, and design network hardware and infrastructure server environments.
  • Perform additions and changes to network hardware and operating systems.
  • Provide direct support for day-to-day operations on network hardware and operating systems.
  • Troubleshoot network issues at both physical and logical levels.
  • Participate in planning, design, and implementation of new network infrastructure hardware.
  • Maintain network infrastructure standards including communication protocols like TCP/IP.
  • Provide technical consultation, training, and support to IT staff.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex communication problems.
  • Develop strategies for client/server systems and design necessary infrastructure.
  • Advise on technological purchases and feasibility of future projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline.
  • 1 - 10 years of experience in a related field.
  • Active US DOD Top Secret clearance or higher is required.
  • Experience with Atlassian Software products (JIRA, Confluence, Service Desk).
  • Proficiency in JAVA and other custom software components.
  • Experience with Apache Niagra Files (NiFi) and Apache TIKA.
  • Knowledge of Databricks and Lakehouse architecture.
  • Experience with ElasticSearch, AWS SQS, and Linux administration.
  • VMWare vSphere 6/7 experience and SPLUNK Server administration.
  • Experience with Dell Server and SAN Storage hardware.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Microsoft SQL, Oracle databases, Angular, JavaScript, and Spring Boot.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience as a scrum participant and familiarity with software release processes.
  • Ability to work after hours when mission requires.
