About the position

The HR People Experience Lead (PEL) is a pivotal role responsible for supporting the Human Resources functions across multiple McDonald's restaurants operated by an independent franchisee. This position focuses on various HR activities including hiring, recruiting, employee onboarding, training, and development, while ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies. The HR PEL plays a crucial role in strategic people planning and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance employee relations and organizational performance.

Responsibilities

  • Support hiring, recruiting, employee onboarding, orientation, training, and development for multiple restaurants.
  • Create and enforce company policy and manage wage and hourly administration.
  • Administer and execute HR programs including compensation, benefits, disciplinary matters, disputes, and investigations.
  • Oversee strategic people planning by tracking turnover, headcount, and succession plans, providing staffing recommendations.
  • Perform periodic audits of HR programs to ensure accuracy and integrity of restaurant-level data.
  • Maintain and report HR metrics to assess performance and compliance.
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives within HR functions.
  • Assist in responding to employee relations issues and provide coaching to management.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Support the Owner and Director of Operations with administrative responsibilities and workforce planning.

Requirements

  • Previous Human Resources experience with proven results in hiring, training, turnover, and talent development.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and development of policies and procedures.
  • Experience in quick-service restaurants, hospitality, or retail is strongly desired.
  • Must be 18 years or older and have reliable transportation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in coaching and supporting management in HR-related focus areas.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to engage with employees on different shifts.
