About the position

The Overnight Team Member at 7-Eleven is responsible for providing excellent customer service during overnight shifts. This role involves operating the cash register, handling customer transactions, maintaining store cleanliness, and ensuring product availability. The position requires a friendly demeanor and the ability to work independently while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and courteous customer service
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) cashier register and gas console
• Address customer complaints positively and document them for follow-up
• Keep the store clean and free of litter and spills
• Face merchandise and ensure it is stocked, priced, and promoted correctly
• Conduct daily inspections of perishable products for freshness
• Receive product deliveries from vendors and manage inventory
• Adhere to all laws affecting store operations, including the sale of tobacco and alcohol
• Meet physical demands of lifting, bending, carrying, and standing for long periods
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to learn tasks quickly and work with little supervision
• Basic math skills
• Food Handlers Permit, if required by the store/county

Nice-to-haves

• Supervising experience
• Retail sales experience (1 year preferred)
• Customer service experience (1 year preferred)
