We currently have multiple exciting and impactful career opportunities as a 1st or 3rd Shift Production Manager. In this role, you will oversee and coordinate the activities of a production line, prepare schedules, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. You will supervise and direct the daily activities of production line workers, assigning tasks, ensuring coordination between different teams, ensuring their safety, and monitoring their performance. You will also train new hires, manage scheduling and work conflicts, monitor safety, and promote internal communication to create a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Additionally, you will partner cross-functionally with other departments to prepare, maintain, and update documentation related to operating procedures, safety, and quality standards, and collaborate with other Production Managers in continuous improvement projects for the facility.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the daily activities of production line workers, assigning tasks and ensuring coordination between different teams.
• Ensure the safety of production line workers and monitor their performance.
• Train new hires and manage scheduling and work conflicts.
• Promote internal communication to create a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Partner cross-functionally with other departments to prepare, maintain, and update documentation related to operating procedures, safety, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with other Production Managers in continuous improvement projects for the facility.

Requirements

• Knowledge of human resources and talent management processes; ability to lead, motivate, evaluate, and reward employees at the workplace.
• Knowledge of manufacturing safety; ability to identify work-related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements for the safety and protection of workers, environment, and site.
• Understanding and insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods; ability to maintain focus on the continuous improvement of processes, products, and services.
• Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience managing teams to production, budgetary, and efficiency targets.
• Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment or other similar roles including the military.
• Experience with powdercoat systems, liquid paint systems, pre-treat chemical application, shot blast operations.
• Experience in multiple manufacturing support disciplines.
• Six Sigma Greenbelt certification.
• Thorough knowledge of Lean Manufacturing processes.
