About The Position

Soothing Heart's Home Healthcare is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide compassionate care to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. The role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, medication administration, and ensuring their overall well-being in a supportive environment. This position offers flexible scheduling with opportunities for both part-time and full-time work, primarily on weekends, while also allowing for additional weekday shifts.

Requirements

• Experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
• Ability to administer medication.

• Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with meal preparation, bathing, dressing, and transportation to appointments.
• Administer medication according to physician and nurse instructions.

• Complete daily reports on clients' health, activities, and behavior.
• Engage in grocery shopping, cooking, and housekeeping for clients.
• Provide emotional support and help clients relax.
