School Lane Charter School is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to fill the role of a long-term substitute teacher for 1st grade. This position is set to begin immediately and will last for approximately four months. The school is committed to creating a safe and nurturing learning environment that supports the physical, intellectual, emotional, and moral development of all students. The ideal candidate will embrace project-based and inquiry learning methodologies, fostering an atmosphere that motivates students to become life-long learners. As a long-term substitute, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, managing classroom behavior, and ensuring that the educational needs of students are met during the absence of the regular teacher. Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons in accordance with the curriculum.
• Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment.
• Assess and evaluate student progress and provide feedback.

• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.

Requirements

• Valid Teaching Certification license (PDE Elementary K-6 or Grades PK-4 certification required).
• Experience in teaching, particularly in elementary education.
• Ability to establish a safe and supportive learning environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs.
