About the position

We are seeking a skilled Metals Fabricator responsible for interpreting blueprints and technical drawings to construct, assemble, and repair metal structures and components. This role requires proficiency in various fabrication techniques and the use of welding and cutting tools to create high-quality metal products. The position offers a direct hire opportunity with great benefits in a tight-knit family environment, working Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with potential overtime on Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to understand project requirements.
• Select and prepare metals and other materials by cutting, shaping, and finishing them to meet specifications.
• Utilize welding techniques (MIG, TIG, arc) to join metal components securely.
• Assemble fabricated parts and structures according to specifications.
• Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality, ensuring they meet industry standards and customer requirements.
• Make necessary adjustments or repairs to ensure high-quality output.
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition, performing routine maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements

• 4 years of experience in metal fabrication or a related field.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and technical drawings.
• Experience with welding techniques (MIG, TIG, arc).
• Ability to work in a non-temperature controlled environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with pipe bending.
