About the position
The Forklift Operator at Mom's Meals is responsible for various warehouse duties in a fast-paced environment, including receiving, shipping, and maintaining inventory accuracy. The role requires operating both stand-up and sit-down forklifts, as well as ensuring the organization of the warehouse area. The operator must be adaptable to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, and must adhere to safety policies while performing physical tasks.
Responsibilities
- Perform receiving and put-away of all inbound receipts.
- Handle shipping and replenishment of products to pick locations using a forklift or cart moves.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and monitor cooler/freezer temperatures.
- Keep the warehouse area organized and safe.
- Sort, handle, load, and unload palletized and non-palletized freight using appropriate equipment.
- Utilize mobile handheld devices for tracking shipments.
- Safely climb in and out of trailers and lift freight up to 50 lbs.
- Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies.
- Complete required documentation and reports accurately.
- Adhere to company safety policies and work in cold weather conditions.
Requirements
- Stand up forklift or high-low forklift experience.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Fluency in English (speak/read/write).
- Good basic math skills.
Nice-to-haves
- High School Diploma or GED.
