This full-time position is responsible for comprehensive human resources management for both hourly and salaried employees. The HR Generalist will serve as a vital point of contact, working closely with the Sr. Human Resources Manager to ensure effective HR practices are implemented throughout the facility. The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including employee relations, staffing, process management, training, and compliance with employment laws and company policies. In the realm of employee relations, the HR Generalist will coordinate and conduct orientation and onboarding programs for new hires, fostering an open-door policy and a positive work environment. This includes planning and managing employee recognition and incentive programs, as well as leading employee engagement initiatives that enhance workplace morale and community involvement. The HR Generalist will also conduct investigations into employee issues, prepare reports, and assist management in formulating disciplinary actions when necessary. The staffing responsibilities include planning and coordinating the recruitment of non-exempt applicants, developing effective recruiting strategies, and managing the internal job posting process. The HR Generalist will partner with contracted agencies to ensure that temporary staffing needs are met efficiently. Additionally, the role involves maintaining human resources records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with record management requirements. Training is another critical aspect of this position, as the HR Generalist will prepare and facilitate HR leadership training on various topics, including interviewing techniques, equal employment opportunity, and internal policies.
