About the position

The Industrial Maintenance Technician position at AJ Rose Manufacturing Company is focused on providing essential maintenance and electrical repair support to production operations during the evening shift. The role requires a multi-craft maintenance technician skilled in both electrical and mechanical processes to ensure the efficiency and safety of manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide general maintenance and electrical repair support to production operations.
• Use ammeters, multimeters, and other equipment to test connections and trace circuits.
• Maintain wiring, fuses, contactors, relays, and other components for manufacturing equipment.
• Replace circuit breakers, fuses, switches, relays, and other electrical components as needed.
• Periodically inspect all equipment to ensure proper operation and prevent breakdowns.
• Respond to facility emergencies and equipment breakdowns promptly.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures using electrical and mechanical knowledge.
• Consult with Electronic Technicians and Electrical Engineers as necessary.
• Perform lock-out on equipment as needed.
• Analyze PLC programs using a PC.
• Assist in training junior employees.

Requirements

• 6-10 years' experience in heavy manufacturing or Journeyman certified.
• Extensive experience with AJ Rose Manufacturing equipment.
• Electrical knowledge equivalent to an electrical technician/installer.
• Mechanical knowledge equivalent to a journeyman certification.
• Ability to read schematics and basic ladder logic.
• Troubleshooting knowledge in DC/AC motors and VFDs.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with encoders and transducers.
• Ability to learn the ERP system (PLEX).
