About the position
The Manufacturing Team Member at ClarkDietrich is responsible for safely setting up, operating, and adjusting metal forming equipment. This role emphasizes a strong work ethic, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols while ensuring quality production in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Sets up, operates, and adjusts metal forming equipment using appropriate tools and procedures.
- Keeps mill operating according to operating procedures and in good condition.
- Operates cutback saw safely and according to order specifications.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of the mill and surrounding area.
- Performs all changeovers using appropriate tooling and changes punches and shear dies.
- Meets machine goals and assists in training co-workers.
- Follows all safety rules and operational procedures, including Lockout Procedure.
- Conducts quality checks using measuring tools like tape measures and micrometers.
- Performs routine maintenance and notifies maintenance personnel of any issues.
- Assists material handler with changing coils and follows reject policy on rejected steel.
Requirements

- Military equivalent recognized in lieu of education and/or experience.
