About the position

Pervan Tooling Co is seeking a skilled 1st shift Mastercam Programmer to join their team. The role involves programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce precision aerospace components. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CNC programming and a strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate Haas VF2 and UMC750 CNC machines to produce parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Select the appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the machining process.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to optimize machining processes and improve overall efficiency.
• Adhere to safety policy including PPE (safety shoes, earplugs, and safety glasses required in the shop).

Requirements

• 10+ years experience as a CNC Programmer.
• Mastercam experience required.
• Verisurf experience preferred.
• Aerospace experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English to management and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Availability to work 1st shift (7:00a-3:30p).
• Ability to pass basic shop math test.
• Ability to demonstrate programming & machining skills during interview.
