About the position

The Painter position at UE Manufacturing involves performing painting and surface preparation duties according to United Engines specifications and product manufacturer guidelines. The role requires working with various paints, solvents, and chemicals, while ensuring safety and quality standards are met in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Use paints, solvents, and other chemicals to prepare surfaces for painting and cleaning.
• Work inside the paint booth, shop, wash bay, or outdoors as required.
• Operate, clean, and maintain all painting equipment.
• Correctly prepare and tape off surfaces before painting.
• Safely hang parts for painting and remove painted parts from racks for shipping.
• Maintain a strong commitment to the safety culture within the workplace.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic knowledge of industrial painting and bodywork.
• Ability to read blueprints and paint codes and mix paint accordingly.
• Ability to use various types of measuring devices.
• Must be capable of utilizing proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
