About the position

The Painter position at United Engines involves performing painting and surface preparation duties according to company and product specifications. The role requires working with various paints and solvents, maintaining painting equipment, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. The Painter will contribute to a positive team environment and uphold high standards of quality and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Use paints, solvents, and other chemicals to prepare surfaces for painting and cleaning.
• Work inside the paint booth, shop, wash bay, or outdoors as required.
• Operate, clean, and maintain all painting equipment.
• Correctly prepare and tape off surfaces before painting.
• Safely hang parts for painting and remove painted parts from racks for shipping.
• Maintain a strong commitment to the safety culture.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic knowledge of industrial painting and bodywork.
• Ability to read blueprints and paint codes and mix paint.
• Ability to use various types of measuring devices.
• Must be capable of utilizing proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
