The 1st Shift Poultry Processing Associate plays a crucial role in the poultry processing line, primarily responsible for the disassembly of poultry and performing various tasks related to poultry processing. This position requires the associate to rotate through different roles on the production line, which may include deboning, evisceration, and other production-related tasks. The associate must adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as comply with agency guidelines such as those set by the NCC Animal Welfare and the U.S.D.A. Additionally, the associate is expected to follow all safety protocols and wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times to promote a culture of safety and minimize accidents in the workplace. The position operates on a 1st shift schedule, with specific department times varying. For instance, the Live Hang, Picking, and Evisceration departments operate from 5:00 am to 2:00 pm, while the Specialty and Debone departments work from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. The Freezing/Chilling, Preprice, and Shipping departments have a schedule from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. The pay range for this position is between $17.65 and $21.35, depending on experience and skills. Associates are expected to perform their duties in compliance with all relevant legal requirements at the federal, state, and local levels, ensuring a safe and efficient processing environment.
