About the position

The Weld Technician position at Ridge Corporation involves operating and maintaining machinery in a manufacturing environment focused on producing advanced composite materials. The role requires teamwork, adherence to safety standards, and a commitment to quality and productivity. The ideal candidate will have some manufacturing experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain machinery in a production environment.
• Learn and follow work instructions accurately.
• Perform Lock Out Tag Out safety procedures.
• Manage multiple tasks and troubleshoot independently.
• Read and apply customer and Ridge print specifications.
• Assist with data entry and management through the ERP system.
• Conduct quality inspections to meet or exceed production standards.
• Demonstrate excellent time management and communication skills.
• Work both independently and collaboratively with a team.
• Maintain a clean work environment following 5S methodology.
• Make recommendations for process improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Proven commitment to quality compliance and productivity.
• Two months of job-related experience, including machine operation or maintenance.
• Ability to identify ultrasonic, thermal, electrical, and pneumatic concerns.
• Ability to follow work instructions from start-up to shut-down.
• Knowledge of company safety, OSHA, and department policies, including Lock Out Tag Out.
• Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend basic English and perform basic math functions, including reading a tape measure.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
