About the position
The Yard and Property Maintenance position is primarily responsible for the cultivation and care of the grounds surrounding the facility. This role involves performing landscaping duties and minor facility maintenance while ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure grounds/yard surrounding facility are well maintained under minimal supervision.
- Perform landscaping duties such as mowing, planting, weeding, fertilizing, and pruning to keep plants, shrubs, and trees healthy.
- Conduct minor facility exterior maintenance including sweeping/clearing sidewalks, painting, lightbulb replacement, and other minor structural repairs.
- Assist others in the repair and maintenance of grounds and facility when requested.
- Work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and local, state, and federal regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
- Previous experience in landscaping is a plus.
- Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shift hours.
- Sound work ethic, honesty, and moral character.
