About the position

American Transport Inc is seeking experienced Flatbed and Step-Deck Owner Operators in Washington State to transport a variety of freight across exclusive lanes. This position offers competitive compensation, with earnings ranging from $7,000 to $8,000 gross per week, and provides the opportunity for independence while receiving support and resources from the company.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight of various types including wooden transmission poles, plastic pipe, steel, military freight, machinery, and oversize loads.
• Ensure timely pickup and delivery of freight while maintaining its condition.
• Utilize flatbed trailers for transportation, with options for lease or rental available.
• Manage cargo and liability insurance, with costs covered by the company.
• Participate in daily settlements upon receipt of proof of delivery (POD).
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to ensure service quality.

Requirements

• Valid CDL A license.
• Experience as an Owner Operator with a flatbed or step-deck trailer.
• Ability to tarp loads as necessary.
• Access to a tractor for hauling freight.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with oversize loads.
• Knowledge of the Western 14 and Coast-to-Coast routes.
