About the position

This full-time Maintenance Mechanic position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and installing pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control valves, and various types of pumps. The role requires expertise in AC/DC electrical systems, reading schematics, and using electrical testing equipment. Maintenance Mechanics will also engage in preventative maintenance and work order tracking, contributing to the overall efficiency and reliability of the facility's equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control valves, and pumps.
• Repair AC/DC electrical systems and read schematics.
• Use electrical testing equipment such as Volt-Ohm meters and oscilloscopes.
• Assist entry-level mechanics with difficult repairs.
• Respond to maintenance calls and complete repairs as needed.
• Inspect machines and develop repair lists for short-term and long-term repairs.
• Conduct repairs on production and facilities equipment to ensure maximum efficiency.
• Work from task lists to diagnose machines and take corrective actions.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of high-voltage wiring (480V 3-phase motors).
• Experience in multi-craft maintenance and repair.
• Ability to lift 15 to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Willingness to work in extreme temperatures and hazardous environments.
• Electrical certification or technical school training in mechanical maintenance repair.

Nice-to-haves

• Two years of training experience in mechanical/electrical repair in a manufacturing environment.
• Welding experience.
