About the position

OTAD Inc. is seeking Delivery Specialists to join their operations in Fairburn, GA. The role involves delivering packages to various locations while ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to safety protocols. Delivery Specialists will work approximately 40 hours per week with a set schedule, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Drive an extra large delivery van on highways and residential areas to deliver packages, abiding by all transportation laws and traffic standards.
• Review, sort, stack, and load packages on the vehicle; ensure that all items are scanned and processed prior to departure.
• Process deliveries with a handheld electronic device accurately and manage delivery progress.
• Provide excellent customer service and display a positive and professional attitude with customers and team members.
• Assist in training other Delivery Specialists or assist with general tasks as needed.
• Prepare reports and other documents related to deliveries and delivery center operations.
• Maintain a safe driving record.

Requirements

• Able to operate a delivery van with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 10,000 lbs. or less.
• Demonstrate the ability to effectively use a GPS navigation system.
• Use a hand-held electronic device to process and complete deliveries.
• Must be able to lift and move packages up to 50lbs.
• Ability to walk, lift, kneel, bend, or carry packages for extended periods of time, and sometimes possibly having to walk up and down flights of stairs.
• Delivery locations may require the delivery specialist to make up to 250 stops per day and move in and out of the vehicle each time; and do so in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
• Able to work approximately 40 hours per work week; organized into set 10-hour work-days.
• Adheres to assigned routes, schedules, safety protocols, and transportation laws.
• Strong time management and individual organization standards.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by management.
• Must be at least 21+ years of age.
• Maintain a valid driver's license for the state of Georgia.
• Pass a five-panel drug test.
• Pass a DMV and criminal background check.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
