About the position
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team for the duration of the school year. The SLPA will work closely with our Speech Language Pathologist to support students' communication needs, ensuring they receive the necessary assistance to thrive academically and socially.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of speech and language treatment plans
- Conduct speech and language screenings
- Document and report student progress
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support students' communication goals
- Maintain accurate records and follow school policies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Valid SLPA license or certification
- Minimum 1+ years speech therapy experience
- Experience working in schools or with children preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
