About the position

PSEG is seeking a Staff Intern for the Customer Care - Billing Department. This role involves supporting the Customer Billing Operations team, which is responsible for the accurate and timely billing of millions of customers. The intern will work on process improvements, documentation, system testing, and data analysis while gaining valuable experience in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement process or technological improvements
  • Review and update process documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Assist team members with testing system enhancements/changes
  • Run analytical reports, develop insights, and communicate results/findings
  • Provide administrative support to the leadership and supervisor teams
  • Assist the team with developing training plans and programs
  • Assist with adhoc data requests, account corrections, and/or customer inquiries

Requirements

  • Actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Business, Data Analytics, or similar
  • Graduating between December 2025 and May 2028
  • Completed sophomore level coursework
  • Excellent oral and verbal communication skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines and juggle competing priorities
  • Experience with Microsoft suite of services (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and video conferencing software (ZOOM, Teams, Webex, etc.)

Nice-to-haves

  • 3.0 GPA
  • Experience working with databases (SAP CCS, Salesforce, Access, or similar)
  • Experience working with large data sets in Excel, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, or similar
  • Experience working on digital enhancements/process improvements
  • Experience creating process documentation or working with Microsoft Visio
