About the position

PSEG is seeking a Staff Intern for Gas District Operations, providing an opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in technical support related to gas operations. The intern will assist in construction and project management activities, learn about pipeline safety regulations, and participate in damage prevention programs. This role is designed to help the intern develop a comprehensive understanding of utility operations and PSEG's core values.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the District Manager, District Engineer, and Senior Supervisors in daily field operations.
  • Analyze data and prepare weekly status regulatory, operational, and financial reports.
  • Visit job sites to review regulatory and safety requirements.
  • Participate in team and project meetings to assist with process improvement.
  • Assist with capacity planning for regulatory requirements and work planning for district operations.
  • Support the monthly financial forecasting process.

Requirements

  • Actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or Project Management from an accredited institution.
  • Graduating between December 2025 and May 2028.
  • Completed freshman level coursework.
  • Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Construction or Project Management related experience
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting engineering/construction drawings and financial reports.
