The Execution Quant position at a well-capitalized crypto trading platform offers an exciting opportunity to build an institution-grade execution platform. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in startup environments and can manage a wide range of responsibilities without relying on highly siloed organizations. The position involves analyzing market microstructures, developing execution algorithms, and collaborating with traders and developers to enhance trading strategies.
Responsibilities
- Analyze market microstructures, cost of trade, and liquidity.
- Write execution algorithms to optimize order-based strategies such as VWAP and TWAP.
- Utilize machine learning, statistical modeling, and various optimization techniques to improve execution.
- Backtest and simulate systems to identify performance bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with traders, developers, and leadership to implement solutions.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of market microstructure and algo trading fundamentals.
- Knowledge of how crypto trading differs from traditional finance (TradFi) markets.
- Proficiency in coding languages such as Python, C++, and/or R.
- Experience with statistical modeling and machine learning algorithms, along with optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with order routing and management, and its relation to market connection protocols.
