About the position

The Controller at our ultra-luxury automotive dealership in Beverly Hills will oversee all financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance while leading a team of six. This role is pivotal in driving profitability and operational efficiency, reporting directly to the General Manager and ownership.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting operations, including AR/AP, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Lead month-end and year-end financial close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Prepare annual budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow analysis.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including tax filings and audits.
• Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Collaborate with department heads to analyze financial data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve operational efficiency.
• Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and external financial partners.
• Train, mentor, and oversee accounting staff to build a high-performing finance team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
• 5+ years of experience as a Controller or in a senior accounting role within the automotive industry (luxury dealership experience preferred).
• Proficient in dealership management systems (e.g., Reynolds & Reynolds, DealerTrack, or CDK Global).
• Advanced knowledge of GAAP and tax compliance requirements.
• Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high levels of discretion and professionalism.
