About the position

The Systems Administrator III position is responsible for providing technical leadership and direction for the maintenance, standards, life-cycle management, design, and implementation of the company's servers and related infrastructure. This role involves creating and implementing high-impact IT solutions, engaging in performance testing, problem analysis, and ensuring the efficient operation of Windows/Linux server environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for server and infrastructure maintenance and design.
  • Contribute to improving IT processes including change management and incident management.
  • Manage IT tickets using ITSM in a timely manner.
  • Implement monitoring systems for Windows/Linux Server/Storage environments.
  • Monitor server performance and optimize resources for efficient operations.
  • Develop and analyze new technical solutions to problems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot server malfunctions.
  • Maintain inventory of Windows/Linux assets and warranty data.
  • Oversee operation and performance of Windows/Linux servers including patch management and Active Directory.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on servers.
  • Implement security measures to protect servers from threats and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Develop and manage backup and recovery strategies for servers.
  • Manage software installations and updates on servers.
  • Manage virtualization platforms and cloud resources within the server environment.
  • Develop scripts for automating routine tasks in the server environment.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership for capacity planning and scaling.
  • Maintain documentation of server configurations and procedures.
  • Collaborate with vendors for server hardware and software support.
  • Contribute to IT projects involving server environments, providing technical expertise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience as the primary administrator for Windows/Linux Servers, VMware, SAN, Windows/Linux AD, and M365 administration.
  • At least 2 years of experience in project management or coordination for IT infrastructure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly with limited training resources.
  • Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to complete projects on time and coordinate work assignments effectively.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and interact positively with customers.
