About the position

The Clark County School District is seeking a dedicated and passionate Art Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year at Harney, K.T. Middle School in Las Vegas, NV. This position is designed for educators who are committed to fostering creativity and artistic expression among middle school students. The Art Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive art curriculum that aligns with state standards and encourages students to explore various artistic mediums and techniques. The ideal candidate will create a positive and engaging classroom environment that promotes student participation and collaboration, while also providing individualized support to meet the diverse needs of learners. In this role, the Art Teacher will be expected to plan and deliver lessons that inspire students to express themselves through art, while also integrating art history and appreciation into the curriculum. The teacher will assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help students improve their skills and understanding of artistic concepts. Additionally, the Art Teacher will collaborate with other faculty members to integrate art into interdisciplinary projects and school-wide events, fostering a culture of creativity within the school community. The successful candidate will also be involved in organizing art exhibitions and showcases to celebrate student work, as well as participating in professional development opportunities to enhance their teaching practices. Requirements

  • A valid driver's license or state-issued identification card.
  • Completion of a seven-year work history in the application.
