The Center for Internet Augmented Research and Assessment (CIARA) at Florida International University is seeking undergraduate or graduate students in computer science and/or engineering to join their team as IT Project Network Associates. This position is part of a National Science Foundation (NSF) sponsored initiative, providing students with a unique opportunity to engage with cutting-edge networking technologies and network automation development concepts. The role is designed to enhance students' understanding of the IT field, particularly in network automation, DevOps, and scalability, while also contributing to projects that support research institutions. As an IT Project Network Associate, students will gain hands-on experience in troubleshooting network infrastructure, working with various network protocols such as OSPF and BGP, and utilizing Linux operating systems and shell scripting. This position not only allows students to apply their academic knowledge in a practical setting but also fosters essential skills in communication and teamwork.
