About The Position

As a Land Intern at Chevron, you will gain valuable real-life work experience within an exploration or asset team, working on significant projects that impact the business. Requirements

• Teamwork: Operate in a team environment and participate in cross-functional teams to solve business problems.
• Contract interpretation/drafting/problem solving: Review contracts and identify acceptable terms, draft contracts to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate with external partners and landowners and draft various agreements related to oil and gas exploration and production.
• Perform title work on exploratory, development, workover, and plug and abandonment wells.
• Provide Land support to multidisciplinary teams to help customers make informed, strategic business decisions on agreements and land ownership issues.
• Interact with federal and state agencies on oil and gas regulatory issues.
• Manage surface land issues such as access, water, and fencing.
