About The Position

Chevron is seeking Production and Reservoir Engineer Interns for the 2024-2025 recruiting season. Interns will work within multi-disciplinary teams on projects that focus on asset development planning, production operations, and capital project development, with an emphasis on low-carbon technologies such as Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS). The role offers a blend of field and office-based experiences, providing valuable insights into the petroleum engineering field.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong academic performance in core programs.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to drive on a routine basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in research, technology development, or consulting.
  • Previous internship experience in an integrated oil or international service company.
  • Participation in an industry or energy company university research project.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in production and reservoir engineering assignments.
  • Contribute to asset development planning and production operations.
  • Engage in reserves, uncertainty, and risk management activities.
  • Assist in capital project development.
  • Work on projects related to Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS), geothermal, and hydrogen.
