About the position

The Title I Pre-Kindergarten Teacher at Doris M. Reed Elementary School is responsible for providing a high-quality early childhood education experience for children in a Title I program. This position requires a deep understanding of early childhood development and the ability to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children. The teacher will develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with state standards and the specific needs of the students. Collaboration with parents, staff, and the community is essential to ensure that each child receives the support they need to thrive. In this role, the teacher will assess students' progress and adapt instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners. The teacher will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and organized classroom environment, managing classroom behavior, and fostering positive relationships with students and their families. Additionally, the teacher will participate in professional development opportunities to enhance their skills and stay current with best practices in early childhood education. The Title I Pre-Kindergarten Teacher will work closely with other educators and support staff to create a cohesive educational experience for students. This includes participating in team meetings, sharing resources, and collaborating on curriculum development. The teacher will also be involved in outreach efforts to engage families and the community in the educational process, ensuring that parents are informed and involved in their child's learning journey.

  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
