About the position

Dow is currently seeking exceptional Undergraduate and Graduate level Engineering students for entry Level Engineering opportunities in Operations (aka Manufacturing & Engineering) to start their fulltime work assignment during the upcoming Spring, Summer, or Fall term. The Operations function within Dow is comprised of four unique focus areas that translate business strategies into operations priorities and results. The focus areas are Manufacturing, Technical Expertise & Support (TES), Environmental, Health, & Safety Operations (EH&S), and Emergency Services, & Security (ES&S). Your job will include a broad range of responsibilities in a variety of different work settings such as chemical plant safety and environmental performance, process operation, optimization, modification, maintenance, and technology implementation. Engineers must use sound technical judgment to enable safe and efficient plant operations. Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to plant operating personnel to maintain safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
  • Manufacturing process troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Preventive maintenance, yield and process improvements.
  • Waste reduction and safety enhancements.
  • Process control and cost optimization.
  • Project management and implementation.
  • Equipment design and new technology implementation.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering or Material Science / Metallurgical Engineering.
  • A Graduation date of no later than September 2025.
  • Ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position.

Nice-to-haves

  • A preferred GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) at your current university.
