About the position

The Science Teacher position at Fusion Academy is designed for an individual who will provide personalized, one-to-one instruction in subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, and Physics for high school students. The role emphasizes a supportive and compassionate classroom environment that caters to the unique academic and emotional needs of each student. The teacher will engage in mentoring and maintain effective communication with parents and colleagues, contributing to the overall campus community.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one teaching experience in Math, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics for grades 6-12.
• Adapt and differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
• Maintain complete and accurate student and teacher records.
• Develop and maintain positive communication with parents and teachers.
• Contribute to the campus community and participate in professional development.
• Mentor students in addition to subject matter tutoring.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including tutoring part-time students.

Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• Solid subject matter knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics for grades 6-12.
• Teaching credentials are a plus but not mandatory.
• Experience with students with learning differences and ADHD is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and basic computer proficiency.
