About the position

The Commercial Banking Summer Internship Program at Comerica Bank is designed for students interested in business banking, providing a comprehensive 8-week experience in a relationship banking environment. Interns will gain hands-on experience in portfolio management, sales support, and commercial underwriting, while also having the opportunity to network with experienced professionals and learn about various banking solutions.

Responsibilities

• Support portfolio management by collecting and monitoring financial information.
• Assist Portfolio Manager and Relationship Managers with client support.
• Conduct industry research and prepare marketing materials.
• Identify prospects and develop a marketing plan with the Relationship Manager.
• Observe the commercial underwriting process and assist in spreading financial statements.
• Complete a special project to refine key Commercial Underwriting resources.

Requirements

• Rising college senior status, within 12 months of graduation (Grad year 2025).
• Preferred majors: Accounting, Finance, Business.
• Overall GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Completion of two accounting courses with a 3.0 average.
• Six months of experience with Microsoft Office products, particularly Word and Excel.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
