Responsibilities

  • Conduct an investigation of candidates to determine any criminal or drug offenses as per The School Code.
  • Review the criminal history of applicants, employees, independent contractors, student teachers, substitutes, and certain volunteers as required by Texas Education Code Chapter 22, Sub-chapter C.
  • Verify the information provided in the application, including education, employment, and criminal history.

Requirements

  • Must authorize the school district to conduct background checks including criminal history and sex offender database checks.
  • Must certify that the information provided in the application is true and can be verified.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of languages other than English is preferred.
