About the position

The Elementary Art Teacher is responsible for providing effective instruction and creating a safe and healthy learning environment for students. This role requires adherence to educational standards, district policies, and ethical guidelines while serving as a positive role model for students. The teacher will engage with the community and maintain professional relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate and effective instruction to students in art education.
• Create a safe and healthy environment conducive to student learning.
• Exhibit professional competencies as per state education standards.
• Follow the Code of Ethics adopted by the State Board of Education.
• Maintain knowledge of and comply with district policies and regulations.
• Exhibit character and moral standards that can be emulated by students.
• Devote adequate time and energy to assigned duties and responsibilities.
• Maintain positive relationships with students, patrons, and employees.
• Conduct supervisory responsibilities in a humane manner.
• Fulfill all teaching responsibilities as defined by state law.

• Candidates must have or be working towards an appropriate endorsement for the position.
• Exhibit mental and physical health adequate for the responsibilities of the position.
