About the position

Trane Technologies is seeking an Accounting & Finance Intern for the summer of 2025, located in Davidson, North Carolina. This internship is part of our early career student program, designed to provide current college students with challenging assignments, leadership training, and valuable exposure to senior leaders within the company. The internship lasts for 12 weeks and is targeted at candidates pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics. Interns will have the opportunity to work on a variety of assignments, which may include New Product Costing, Cost Accounting, General Accounting, Tax, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Data Analytics, Global Internal Audit, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and Enterprise/Sector Accounting projects. The successful candidate will be part of a hybrid work schedule, requiring at least three days on-site each week at our Davidson, NC location, with potential assignments in Tyler, TX. We are looking for performance-driven, innovative leaders who value collaboration and customer focus. Candidates should be eager to seek new information and skills, motivated to leverage their learnings for personal and professional growth, and capable of utilizing financial systems and tools for decision-making and performance evaluation. This internship also serves as a pathway to interview for our full-time Accelerated Development Program for Accounting/Finance or direct hire opportunities after graduation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with New Product Costing and Cost Accounting projects.
  • Support General Accounting and Tax functions.
  • Engage in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities.
  • Participate in Data Analytics initiatives.
  • Contribute to Global Internal Audit and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance projects.
  • Work on Enterprise/Sector Accounting assignments.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • At least one previous internship or relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills through campus organizations, sports, or work projects.
  • U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
